  • For those speciality retailers looking for fresh, local and seasonal ideas, a visit to The Farm Shop & Deli Show 2011 at Birmingham's NEC from 27th February to 1st March is a must

The new exhibition has been specifically designed to meet the unique business and retailing needs of farm shops, delis and food halls. It is very conveniently running alongside a number of major food and drink events including the National Convenience Show which will enable visitors to keep track of the latest developments in the convenience retailing sector.

Event manager Jack Halliday said, “Visitors to the Farm and Shop & Deli Show will see companies showcasing everything from chocolate and confectionery to speciality soft drinks.”

Alongside the exhibitors Farm Shop & Deli Live is probably the most exciting component of the event. The area has been designed to help speciality retailers drive sales and improve the profitability of their business

Starting at 11.00 on each day of the show, there are six sessions. The programme has been put together with the assistance of Simon Hurley, a founder and head of Pride of Place, the leading distributor of speciality food and drink. The organisers have devised a varied programme that will be run by industry experts and intend it to be the perfect source of inspiration for speciality retailers. The programme includes a presentation by TV presenter and foodie Gregg Wallace.
