The new look combines a new blue and cream colour scheme with hand-drawn illustrations to convey the company’s base, and the company’s iconic McMoo character still appears on packaging.

The updated packaging also shows consumers that the business’s purpose-built premises is powered by hydro-electricity harnessed from the local river, and that the products are cooked using a woodchip-fired biomass burner.

Their products are changing inside, too, the company has decided to remove palm oil from its ingredients in line with its eco-friendly values. This is to avoid any of the negativity that has been surrounding palm oil in recent months, although the company states that the oil they used was entirely traceable to Columbia and RSPO certified.

Three new products will be launched in 2014 to join the current range of six items.
